 April 10, 2017

 

Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners to be held on April 10, 2017 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:00 A.M.

 

Meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to be held on April 10, 2017 at the Lincoln County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room at 9:15 A.M.

 

There will also be a joint session with Frontier and Dawson County at 2:00 P.M. in Farnam, NE. Please see Agenda Item # 7.

 

  1. Open with prayer

 

  1. Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting

held April 3, 2017

 

  1. Consider the following:
  • Claims & Treasurer’s Receipts
  • Receive and order filed fee reports submitted by Clerk of District Court, Register of Deeds and the County Clerk
  • Authorizing the Chairman to sign a contract with Nebraska Fire & Safety

 

Recess as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization.

  1. 9:15 A.M. Discuss and consider the following:
  • Approve minutes regarding the Lincoln County Board of Equalization meeting

held on April 3, 2017

  • Certificates of correction and refund as submitted by the County Assessor
  • Offering a confession of judgment regarding the case of Daniel M. Wesslund, Appellant, v. Lincoln County Board of Equalization, Appellee, Case No. 16R 0201, which is before the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission, in which the Lincoln County Board of Equalization confesses in said herein motion that the value of the real estate, in the aforementioned case (Case No. 16R 0201), should be $213,000.00 (Leasehold Value – $160,000 and Improvements – $53,000) for tax year 2016
  • Offering a confession of judgment regarding the case Thomas M. Phifer, Appellant, v. Lincoln County Board of Equalization, Appellee, Case No. 16R 0056, which is before the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission, in which the Lincoln County Board of Equalization confesses in said herein motion that the value of the real estate, in the aforementioned case (Case No. 16R 0056), should be $235,270.00 (Land – $15,570 and Improvements – $219,700) for tax year 2016.

Adjourn or recess to time certain as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners.

 

  1. 9:30 A.M. Discuss interlocal agreement with McPherson County for joint purchase

of supplies and materials & equipment sharing

 

  1. 9:45 A.M. Discuss and consider setting a date to accept bids for Lincoln County

card access control system

 

Recess and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners in Farnam, NE

at 2:00 P.M. for the following item.

 

  1. 2:00 P.M. A public hearing will be held on April 10th, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the

Farnam Senior Center located at 214 Main Street, Farnam, NE 69029, on the

circulated petition to form the Farnam Cemetery District in the counties of Dawson

County, Frontier County and Lincoln County.  The circulated petition proposed to form

the Farnam Cemetery District in order to continue financing the maintenance of local

cemeteries located in all three counties for those residents whose family and friends

are buried in such cemeteries.  At the public hearing a the legal description of the

actual cemetery district will be proposed as will the levy setting out the estimated cost

to tax payers in all three counties in order to maintain the local cemeteries.  Proposals

may be submitted for the exclusion of land from the cemetery district or the inclusion

of additional land in the proposed cemetery district.  The public hearing will be held

before the Board of Commissioners for all three counties, Dawson County, Frontier

County and Lincoln County.
